OFFICERS
JOHN ARNOLD, President
John spent 21 years working with a nationally-renowned insurance and financial planning group, M Fianancial, where he built a practice that specialized in wealth transfer and wealth management needs for high net worth clients and closely held businesses and their advisors. John’s primary focus is in the areas of insurance, retirement, executive benefit and financial planning.
Closely aligned with the Foley/Connnelly way, John has built his practice and reputation on a client-first approach. John holds FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) licenses and is a Registered Representative with Kestra Investment Services, LLC. John also is a Series 65 licensed Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) and Registered Investment Advisor Representative with Kestra Advisory Services, LLC.
An independent advisor, John is able to analyze client goals and propose appropriate strategies from a broad array of high-quality investments and insurance products. John brings his knowledge and experience to create unique solutions to complex issues and can explain them in terms the client can understand. With his client-first approach and extensive industry knowledge, John guides his clients and their advisors through the process of creating well thought-out plans to address their risk and wealth management needs.
MARIANNE FRESIA, CTFA, CFP®, Secretary
Marianne is a dual employee of Lee Bank and St. Germain Investments. She is a VP, Trust Officer at Lee Bank and a Financial Advisor with St. Germain Investments. She has been in banking since 2000 and in wealth management since 2010. In addition to serving on the EPCHC board, Marianne is also the Treasurer for the Berkshire County Estate Planning Council, she serves on teh Finance COmmittss for the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshries, and volunteers with the Money Management Program through Berkshire County Elder Services, Inc.
JULIE QUINK, Treasurer
Julie is the managing principal of Burkhart Pizzanelli. She joined the firm in 2011 and has over 33 years of experience in public accounting and 3 years of private, corporate accounting experience.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Elms College. She previously worked 4 years for an international accounting firm and 16 years for a medium-sized local firm.
Julie is involved in the accounting and consulting aspects of the practice and manages engagements of various sizes and complexity. She also performs services relative to forensic and fraud-related engagements.
Julie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Julie serves as a member of the Baystate Health Board of Trustees, Treasurer of the Quaboag Hills Chamber of Commerce, the Treasurer of the Square One, the Chairperson of the School Committee of Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School, a member of the Finance Committee of the East Quabbin Land Trust, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Greater Springfield Senior Services, Inc., Treasurer of Hardwick Rescue & Emergency Squad, Inc. and Treasurer of the Estate Planning Council of Hampden County. She is an adjunct faculty in the MBA Accounting program at Elms College. Julie also serves as a Trustee of Monson Saving Bank.
Julie was a 2017 recipient of the MSCPA’s Women to Watch awards.
Julie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing golf, gardening and volunteering at various community organizations in her town.
EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS
KYLIE JOHNSON
With a career that spans grassroots organizations to large nonprofits, including the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, UMass Amherst, and Virginia Tech’s $1B campaign, as well as experience as a Merrill Lynch financial advisor, Kylie joined Baystate Health Foundation in 2015 to launch their planned giving program.
While serving as BHF’s Planned Giving Director, Kylie earned the Chartered Advisory in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation from the American College of Financial Services, serves on the board of the Estate Planning Council of Hampden County, and teaches for Boston University’s professional fundraising certificate program. Kylie has recently been named Director of Planned Giving.
HOLLY KRESIAK
Holly serves as a First Vice President and Wealth Advisor with Berkshire Bank Wealth Management. She has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Holly is responsible for the administration of revocable and irrevocable trusts, IRAs, investment management accounts, as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.
Holly holds a B.S. from Bay Path College, is a graduate of Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School, and earned a Customer Service Certificate from the American Banking Institute of Southern New England. Holly is an active participant with Berkshire Bank’s Foundation and volunteer program.
DAVID FEDOR, CFP®, CRPC®
David E. Fedor is the CEO of a boutique financial planning and investment firm that serves clients across the country. As a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, David is committed to helping clients achieve the retirement they deserve. He excels in crafting and implementing risk-reduction strategies through investments and life & long-term care insurance products, ensuring his clients’ money lasts as long as possible. David is an active member of the financial community, currently serving on the board of the Hampden County Estate Planning Council and previously on the board of the Greater Springfield Senior Services. He enjoys sharing financial planning tips with local high school and college students and volunteers with Junior Achievement and Springfield College. Additionally, he has participated in the Bryant University Idea Challenge, helping students launch startup businesses. David thrives on the challenge of developing personalized retirement plans that align with his clients’ goals. He takes pride in maintaining long-term relationships, often working with multiple generations within the same family. His practice operates primarily on a fee-based model, directly linking the success of Fedor Financial Group, LLC to the financial success of its clients. To provide exemplary service, David intentionally limits the number of clients he takes on. KATIE McDONOUGH
Katie McDonough is a Partner at Hinckley Allen, she is a corporate and estate planning lawyer uniquely positioned at the intersection of business and family considerations. She serves as trusted counsel for a variety of clients, including construction companies, medical and professional service firms, and other family-owned businesses and non-profits across multiple states.
Katie advises for-profit and non-profit clients on transactions, financing, business planning, succession planning, and risk mitigation. She actively coordinates the provision of legal services relating to contracts and litigation, shareholder agreements and disputes, insurance disputes, mergers & acquisitions, employment matters, commercial contracts, and partnership and trust disputes.
Katie also has deep experience in estate planning and administration, allowing her to advise clients holistically as they pursue their business goals and provide comprehensive legal service to business owners and their families.
JACOB KOSAKOWSKI
Jacob Kosakowski is an associatee in Bulkley Richardson's Trusts and Estates practice group where he works with individuals in all areas of estate and gift tax planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorneys, health care proxies, real estate deeds, homestead exemptions, and related transactional work. He also provides legal guidance to individuals regarding estate administration and the probate process.
Jake is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and graduated University of Massachusetts, Amherst, B.A., summa cum laude, 2018. He then wwent on to Suffolk University School of Law, J.D., 2022.
