About Us
Our Beginnings
In early 1966, a group of Greater Springfield lawyers, trust officers, life insurance representatives and accountants joined to form the "Estate Planning Council of Hampden County." The original roster of members was comprised of 23 professionals from these five groups.
Council members are life insurance professionals, bankers, fiduciaries, lawyers, accountants, planned giving professionals, and other select financial service providers engaged in the planning, settlement and management of estates. Expertise is not a criterion for membership in the Council. Therefore, membership in the council by any member does not imply expertise.
